If by "disable" you mean literally adding the "disabled" attribute, I disagree; there are other, more accessible ways to handle that.

If you just mean prevent the default action that the button performs, then yes, agreed.

Of course, even explaining why it's disabled can be tricky because simply placing text explaining why only helps sighted users.

I'll go into more detail in the follow-up article.
